Has anyone been watching SWV......well she has! OMG, talk about funny. Those 3 girls are so down to earth and real. I had a lil SWV session last week on Youtube, listening to all their old classic hits.  Fast-forward to now, you know when you hear someone sing live and they sound good and they switch it up a little bit for the set, well when she sangs live it sounds EXACTLY the same as the original recording 10+ years ago. Coko still sounds amazing! Can't wait to here their new material. I would love to here more of Lelee and Taj too (Use Your Heart).

How epic was Pharrell's performance at the 2014 NBA All-Star Game???? I was on the edge of my seat jamming from all his 2000's hits. Nelly, Diddy, Snoop Dogg, N.E.R.D and Busta Rhymes who seem to be growing back his dreads, my sister brought to my attention. I'm not one to forget about ones success, but I literally forgot about all those classic jams.

One word....ICON! I'm such a huge fan of Janet Jackson even when I was younger, you would hear her iconic "Rhythm Nation" songs taking over the radio in the early 90s. But as I got older and wiser I learned to appreciate her music and impact even more. What I always loved about Janet is that she attacks all subject matters from love, making love to heartbreak and even politics in her music! Her style is so unique and like no other, she always finds ways to reinvent herself (this particular Native Tribal look is one of my favorites) . It's one thing to be respected for your craft, but to work with one of music's greatest genius of or time, such as Stevie Wonder is definitely a pivotal moment in a artist career. Melanie Fiona is one of my favorite artist and singer. Her authenticity as a singer is like no other, you can relate to her music in ways you can't with other artist today. It's been 6 days since "Two Eleven" released and I'm loving the reviews that Brandy has been getting from the new album! She definitely deserves all the credit. Brandy is one of my absolute favorite artist, ever since her "Brandy", "Moesha" and "Never Say Never" days. From the albums to all the movies, everyone that knows me, knows how much I'm a huge fan. I remember when "Never Say Never" debuted in 98'. I was so excited, I had my dad take my to the nearby Sam Goody to purchase it (I miss those record stores, they need a comeback), so young, but I had a love for R&B. Even the albums that didn't do so "good" on the charts were still good albums, such as "Afrodisiac", one of her greatest albums that was completely underestimated, I think the world wasn't ready for the album at the time it debuted.

This time around as always, I'm absolutely loving this new album. It's a new refresh sound and a new confidence that I never heard in Brandy before. It compliments a need for her already established fans "The Stars" and new fans. My album faves are "Wildest Dreams", "Slower" and "Music". The album visuals are completely on point with style and choreography. I think this is her time to shine again and get the credit she deserves. If you haven't heard the album yet, I think you should go listen.

Check out rap artist, Naeem The Great, from Brooklyn, NY. Just only 19 years-old and this young man has great talent. When I had first listened to his mixtape, "Came A Long Way" back in February, I was very impressed by the lyrics, production and delivery presented over the tracks. Naeem has great musical influences: Jay-Z, Kanye West and Meek Mill just to name a few. Naeem is currently in the studio working on a new mixtape and we can't wait to be the first to listen!

Last night of Jay-Z's sold out 8 day show. He ended the show at Brooklyn, NY new Barclay Stadium, with his wife as the surprise guest. Perfect way to end a show + during her performance Beyonce gave a Birthday shout out to her BFF Lavish Libra Gwyneth Paltrow!
